LRF HORSE UPDATE:
NODIAC (IRE) was purchased privately from Ireland last week after an impressive third in her debut. The 2yo filly by Kodiac and a half brother to U.S. stakes winner, Ryehill Dreamer, will be shipped to the Southern California barn of Phil D’Amato and is available for immediate syndication.
ROCKO’S WHEEL ran the greatest second place finish of the year in the $200,000 Real Good Stakes. Although no match for winner Gimme de Lute (who won by 12 lengths) Rocko tried every step of the way, and battled right to the wire to capture the $40,000 second place check.
MIDNIGHT STORM breezed for the second time since the Eddie Read and couldn’t have looked better. He will make a second start at Del Mar in either the $1,000,000 Pacific Classic, the $200,000 Del Mar Mile, or the $80,000 Brubaker stakes later this month.
