Billy started attending the races with his family before he could walk. He began syndicating horses right out of Northwestern (Go CATS!) back in 1991. When he founded LRF in 2002, he did so on a wing and a prayer, and only his love for the sport to fall back on. Billy is thankful he has a job he loves and grateful to all the LRF partners for providing him with an opportunity to follow his dreams.

Little Known Fact: Set the Northwestern Baseball school record for being hit by pitch in a single season.

Gary began his career as an entertainment attorney with the William Morris Agency before breaking his parents hearts and leaving to run a horse racing business with his childhood friend. Gary's passion and love for the horses dates back to the 1980s, having attended the first Breeders' Cup in 1984. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Thoroughbred Owners of California. When not at the races, he spends time with his wife Katie and their sons, Brady & Carter (and attends the occasional Los Angeles Kings hockey game).

Little Known Fact:  Holds a patent for a new horse racing wager.

Career Highlights: Egg Drop, who Tom purchased for $12,500, sold for $1.9M for LRF at Keeneland.

Tom is an animal lover and one of the most knowledgeable horseman in the country. Tom has made a career of finding GI winners like Egg Drop and Potesta for bargain prices. His keen eye and his training techniques (he breaks and trains horses in Florida) receive rave reviews from everyone in the business. Sometimes quirky, more than often genius, Tom is a trusted advisor for LRF. 

Little Known Fact: Tom spends most of his afternoons watching races from the OBS sales pavilion.

Mike started his career in Arizona, moved through Kentucky, and has become one of the leading trainers in Southern California. Mike is generally known as the hardest working trainer on the backstretch and it pays off in spades with the performance of his horses.

Little Known Fact: Mike's office is the most popular at the track due to his plethora of snack foods.

Career Highlights: Won his first GI in the Shoemaker Mile with Obviously in 2014.

Phil is without question one of the best and brightest young trainers in the business. Phil studied under Del Mar's all-time leading trainer, the late Mike Mitchell, for ten years and is already a force in Southern California. Phil may be quiet and unassuming, but he loves to win races and is as competitive as anyone on the circuit.

Little Known Fact: Phil has a degree from USC in Political Science and a degree from Arizona's Racetrack Industry program.

A true gentleman, Barry started training (and riding) harness horses back in 1978 but switched to thoroughbreds in the early nineties. Barry is best known for his willingness to run horses back on short rest, a trick he learned with the trotters. There is no trainer who understands the financial structure of the industry and all Barry cares about are his horses and making money for his owners.

Little Known Fact: Claimed California's all-time leading stallion, Unusual Heat, for $80,000.

Richie has been going to the races since he was 15. He is generally considered one the very sharpest trainers on the So Cal circuit. Richie is a fiery competitor who hates losing even more than enjoys winning.

Little Known Fact: Richie attended the 1984 Kentucky Equine Institute for a six month program before going to work in KY at Pillar Stud and Spendthrift Farm, rubbing yearlings and helping out at the Keeneland sales.

A former jockey turned trainer, Pete won his first race at Santa Anita back in 1985 and hasn't looked back. One of the most popular trainers on the backstretch, you may see him in his trademark Dodger hat, hoodie, and earphones running back and forth from the track in teh mornings. A simple indication of his dedication to the sport and his love for the animals.

Little Known Fact: Daughter Brittany is a budding star for TVG.

Career Highlights: Won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes as the assistant trainer and exercise rider for Big Brown.

Michelle grew up on Grandfather's horse farm in Ireland and was sent to the US at age 16. She's been around horses all of her life and has worked for soem of the very best trainers in New York, including Kiaran McLaughlin and Richard Dutrow. Michelle currently trains for many of the top owners of the game and has quickly become one of the sports brightest young conditioners.
