Harris Farms Welcomes Singletary
Singletary, winner of the 2004 Breeders Cup Mile and over 1.7 million in earnings has been moved from Cardiff Stud Farms to Harris farms near Coalinga, CA for the 2009 breeding season.
“I always have admired Singletary, and purchased a share in him when he went to stud,” Harris Farms owner John Harris commented. “He was a top notch miler and won first time out at 2 and went on to win major stakes races every year for the next 3 years. He represents a good outcross for many California mares and I am very pleased to get him to our farm. We plan to breed some of our best mares to him”.
Billy Koch, managing partner of Little Red Feather added, “We feel Harris Farms is a terrific opportunity for Singletary and we hope the breeders in California continue to support him with quality mares. I have great confidence he will pass on his talent and courage to his offspring and I can’t wait to see his two-year olds run in 2009.”
Singletary is represented by 46 two year olds in his first crop that will race in 2009. His 2009 stud fee is $2,500/live foal. Inquiries should be directed to Steve Sahadi at 805-239-2700 or Dave McGlothlin at 800-311-6211 or davemcglothlin@harrisfarms.com
