Guts Game a Proud Second in Proud Puppy Handicap

Guts Game became stakes placed on Saturday October 4, 2008 when she finished second in the Proud Puppy Handicap at Finger Lakes.

Out of the gate, although Guts started off slowly, she settled nicely for regular jockey Elaine Castillo. As the field turned for home, Guts began her run after the leaders and just got past a group of horses for second. It was an impressive effort, and earned her a career best 77 beyer number. Even better the Officer mare is now stakes placed!
