Leo Holtz Wins 5th Annual LRF BC Contest

Congratulations to Leo Holtz of Southern California who won the 5th Annual LRF Breeders’ Cup contest.

A record 198 participants competed in the 15 race handicapping tournament which consisted of selecting one horse in each of the 15 BC races. Points were awarded to the actual WPS payouts based on a mythical $2 WPS wager.

In the contest, Leo started well with his early selection of Stephanie’s Kitten in the Juv Filles Turf, but then went relatively quiet for the next 11 races. With two races left, Leo’s pick of Court Vision propelled him to the lead. He held on when none of the top leaders selected BC Classic winner Drosselmeyer.

Top 10 Finishers:
1. Leo Holtz 253.50
2. Ryan Russell 246.20
3. Irina Bauer 217.20
4. Barbara Creighton 201.60
5. Elizabeth Dodd 182.10
6. Steve Chiovare 168.70
7. Jill Sloat-Ferris 168.00
8. Steve Mercieca 155.00
9. Josh Schwartz 154.60
