Egg Drop Featured in Track Times Today

WHERE DID YOU COME FROM? – The third race at Del Mar on Saturday, Sept. 3 was a study in the art of the selection of horses at the various sales. The race was for 2-year-old maiden fillies going 5 1/2 furlongs for a purse of $63,000, the type of event that draws the most expensive babies and usually the most accomplished trainers.

There were two scratches from the original 10-horse field, and they went with eight well-bred runners, five of whom sold for pretty good money at OBS, Keeneland, Barretts and Fasig-Tipton.
