El Manuel finishes a close 5th in GIII Turf Express

El Manuel came within one length of LRF’s 4th consecutive victory finishing an exciting 5th in the GIII Hollywood Turf Express. Bet down to 6-1 (morning line 15-1) Manny broke alertly and had an active inside trip down the back stretch. As they turned for home, jockey David Flores let Manny loose and he responded by taking the lead mid-stretch. Unfortunately, Manny tired late and was over taken by a flurry of closers. The official chart had Manny losing by a nose, nose, nose, 1/2 length!

We look forward to seeing Manny race again in the upcoming Santa Anita Meet.
