Dam Trickle of Gold ran Beyers of 102, 106, and 107 while reeling off three stakes victories and over $460k in earnings.

If 2010 was any indication, Little Red Feather’s partners are in for a great 2011.

Once again, LRF ventured to Tom McCrocklin’s Ocala, Florida training center and picked out a stunning two-year-old colt, Temple of Gold. A son of graded stakes winner Broken Vow out of the graded stakes winning mare, Trickle of Gold, Temple of Gold possesses all of the qualities of a top class thoroughbred. “He’s really come on strong lately,” said McCrocklin. “He’s got the look of a two turn horse and I have a feeling he may have some of his mama’s speed.” McCrocklin purchased Temple of Gold as a yearling in the same fashion he purchased potential LRF star Kilograeme.

We feel so strongly about Temple of Gold’s potential to be an important colt that we’ve enlisted the services of Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert to guide his career. Baffert has won the Kentucky Derby three times (Silver Charm, Real Quiet, and War Emblem) and last year campaigned Lookin’ at Lucky to wins in the Preakness and the Haskell Invitational on his way to becoming Champion three-year-old of 2010.
