According to trainer David Duggan, “This colt was my favorite in the sale. He’s big and strong and his breeze was awesome. His pedigree screams turf as Hussonet has sired some big time turf runners including Host. There are plenty of opportunities to prove himself this summer and fall at Saratoga and Belmont and don’t forget, this year will be the inagural Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf race.”
Hussonet, a son of the incomparable Mr. Prospector, was leading sire in Chile on three separate occasions, siring 15 Champions, before relocating from South America. This colt is the first foal out of the Buckfinder mare Classic Contender, a stakes placed runner with earnings of $100,927. The family is strong as well, with stakes caliber progeny throughout the first four-generations, including Grade I winner Spit Curl.
