Political Force captures the GI $400,000 Suburban Handicap at Belmont Park

In our never ending quest to win the Kentucky Derby, we believe we have found the “perfect candidate” in Bipartisan.

A son of GI Suburban Handicap winner Political Force out of the Devil’s Bag mare, Clochard, Bipartisan has everything you look for in a two-year-old. He is well-balanced, athletic, and has a giant stride which eats up the ground. Bipartisan is another in a long line of successful horses recommended by Executive LRF Bloodstock Agent, Tom McCrocklin. As many of you know, LRF’s budding superstar Kilograeme, who punched her ticket to the GI Santa Anita Oaks with a win last weekend, is owned in part with McCrocklin. “He reminds me of Kentucky Derby winner Real Quiet,” said McCrocklin. “He’s so long and has a huge stride on him. He’s a two-turn colt without question. I’m staying in on this one for sure!”

Bipartisan will be trained in Southern California by Mike Puype, who also trains his unraced older brother, Southern Sunrise. “His big brother has immense talent and he’s a beautiful horse,” said Puype. “If he’s anything like him, I can’t wait to get him into the barn!” Puype is one of the top trainers in California and has done an outstanding training job with 2010 Eclipse Award runner-up Turbulent Descent, stakes winner Bruce’s Dream and many others. Bipartisan is scheduled to join the Puype barn at Hollywood Park this spring with our sights set on a debut this summer at Del Mar.
