David came to California from Ireland to be an exercise rider for Neil Drysdale. After assistant training jobs with successful trainers John Kimmel and Eoin Harty and working with talented horses such as Successful Appeal and Street Cry, David Duggan David set up tack on his own in 2005.

He’s already being touted as one of the bright young trainers to keep an eye on in New York. He and his wife, Lara, get on all of their own horses and they are both “barn rats”. Being an exercise rider and assistant trainer for some of the best trainers in the world has provided David with a wealth of knowledge and experience that is already paying off.
